  • Well done with your pronunciation of 'Taoiseach'. BTW the word 'wee' is used extensively in the Northern counties of Ireland as well as in Scotland (there are historical reasons).

  • Well... I learned far more about pogs after this video than I ever knew (which was next to nothing... I thought they were another name for tiddlywinks).. And yes, Seth is right, they are named for passion fruit, orange and guava which was in the juice that started the craze.

  • I have a sneaking suspicion that Seth's notes are not in fact on the back of a piece of printed material whose front indicates "This area has been cleaned & disinfected" - and if that's the case, I think he might be just making some of this stuff up as he goes!

  • Another crucial correction, from Monday’s _A Closer Look:_ ispast.info/losk/v-deo/q6uHmmyolpvcf6A.htmlm4s 6:04: Irish gnome: “I’m here on a visa” Although Iceland is not a member of the European Union, it is a member of the Schengen Area (the “area comprising 26 European countries that have officially abolished all passport and all other types of border control at their mutual borders” according to Wikipedia). Conversely, although Ireland is a member of the European Union, it has an opt-out from the Schengen Area and operates its own visa policy, but Irish gnomes themselves can travel freely in the Schengen Area and thus don’t need a visa to enter Iceland, just their passport or national identity card *_FAIL_*

  • Facts are seldom allowed to contaminate the beautiful vision of the left. What matters to the true believers are the ringing slogans, endlessly repeated. Darwinian adaptation to environment applies not only to nature but also to society. Just as you don’t find eagles living in the ocean or fish living on mountain tops, so you don’t find leftists concentrated where their ideas have to stand the test of performance.

  • There is *no way* I'd watch these segments while high. I was quite tempted until I thought of the consequences: uncontrollable laughter, spasms of the diaphragm, a moderate asthma attack, slight bladder leakage, a misdemeanor charge for disturbing the peace, & a tersely worded letter from the co-op board. It's just too damned risky, y'all. Oh, & marijuana is illegal in my state.

Pinot Nero?Pinot Blanc?!". You can certainly tell who are the philistines trying to be a wine expert. And, don't get me started on those who just say the region of the wine because they can't pronounce "Gewurztraminer or Semillon".
